1. Platform fee
Robin charges a 12% fee to Robins and a 5% service fee to care seekers on each completed booking. These fees cover payment processing, trust & safety, platform maintenance, and insurance contributions.
2. Escrow payments
All payments are held in escrow via Stripe Connect until the care seeker confirms session completion. Robins receive payouts within 2 business days. Disputes must be raised within 24 hours of session end.
3. Cancellation policy
Cancellations more than 24 hours before a session are fully refunded. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a 50% charge. No-shows are charged in full.
4. Off-platform payments
All transactions must occur through Robin. Off-platform payments are prohibited and may result in account suspension.
Data we collect
Name, phone number, profile photo, location (neighbourhood level only), government ID (encrypted), booking history, and payment information (handled by Stripe — Robin never stores card details).
How we use your data
To match care seekers with Robins, process payments, verify identities, send booking reminders, and improve the platform. We never sell your personal data to advertisers.
Location data
We display Robin locations at neighbourhood level only on the map. Your exact address is never shown publicly.
Respect & inclusion
Robin is a community-first platform. All members must treat each other with dignity regardless of background, language, religion, or immigration status.
Safety first
Never share personal addresses in chat until a booking is confirmed. Report any concerns immediately via the in-app report button.
Honest listings
Robins must accurately represent their skills, certifications, and availability. Fake or misleading listings result in immediate removal.
As a Robin you agree to:
✓ Provide safe, attentive care during all booked sessions
✓ Maintain accurate availability and respond to booking requests within 2 hours
✓ Never leave a child or elderly person unsupervised
✓ Maintain any required licenses or certifications for your service type
✓ Follow all Alberta regulations for day home or home-based food services
✓ Report any incidents or concerns through the Robin platform immediately
